You car or light truck was built to exacting specifications. We are confident in its reliability, but local climate, road conditions, and normal vehicle usage often cause even the best components to fail occasionally. The GM Protection Plan is your safeguard against costly vehicle repairs and provides peace of mind while you’re on the road. When you’re protected by GMPP Total ‘Plus’, both parts and labor are covered, you pay only your deductible, if any, for covered repairs. The GMPP Total ‘Plus’ coverage provides the highest level of repair cost protection available, as well as the many benefits of the GM Roadside Assistance Program. GMPP Total ‘Plus’ is the ultimate option for your GM vehicle.
Why should I Buy GMPP?
Inflation Protection
GMPP provides protection for you and your family against unexpected and rising repair costs. It can be the most valuable option you choose for your GM vehicle.
Peace of Mind
With the largest repair network in Canada and the U.S., GM’s commitment to you is to provide a worry-free driving experience. Georgian Pontiac Buick GMC, as well as 8,500 other dealers across Canada and the U.S., offer professional factory trained-technicians, using only GM authorized replacement parts in any GMPP repairs performed on your vehicle.
What Other Benefits Do I Receive With GMPP?
GM Roadside Assistance
GMPP Total ‘Plus’ provides additional ‘peace of mind’ convenience by offering 24 hour assistance for lost of locked-in keys, flat tire changing, out-of-fuel emergencies, jump starts, and even provides a lodging and meal allowance in the event your vehicle breakdown leaves you stranded out of town! Your GM Roadside benefit also provides you with personalized trip planning service to any destination in Canada and the U.S.
Rental/Alternative Transportation Allowance
A $40 per day allowance is provided by GMPP Total ‘Plus’ to help cover the cost of a rental vehicle or other form of transportation. This allowance is made available while your vehicle is in the shop for covered repairs that require at least 2 hours of shop labour time, or that make your vehicle inoperable requiring it to be held overnight. This benefit is subject to a $200 maximum.
‘Wear Out’ Coverage
GMPP improves with age providing coverage to parts and assemblies that simply wear out. It is this unique feature that makes GMPP even more valuable, particularly as your vehicle ages. Outside influences such as local climate, road conditions, maintenance intervals, even driving habits, contribute to strain and ‘wear’ on your vehicles components. A few examples of parts that simply wear out are piston rings, ball joints, water pumps, and alternators. This ‘Wear Out’ Coverage applies to parts and assemblies covered by GMPP Total ‘Plus’. It does not apply to non-covered or maintenance items such as brake shoes, pads, shock absorbers, etc.
Transferable Coverage
GMPP can increase the resale value of your vehicle. If you sell your vehicle before the GMPP coverage expires, the remaining coverage may be transferred to subsequent owners at no charge.
Loyalty Trade-In Benefit
If you decide to trade-in your vehicle at a GM Dealer, you may request that the unused portion of your current GMPP coverage be applied to a GMPP purchase on your next vehicle. This feature is only available at time of trade in.
